**Client Relationship Co-Ordinator (Clinical Negligence)**

We have a fantastic opportunity for a **Client Relationship Co-Ordinator** to join our award-winning **Clinical Negligence**team in Bristol, voted ‘Team of the Year’ by the Bristol Law Society.

Barcan+Kirby’s Clinical Negligence team work in line with the firm’s values to help injured people get answers about their care, to highlight dangerous medical practice and to help put shattered lives back together.

Our Clinical Negligence team is top tier ranked in both Chambers and Partners UKand the Legal 500, and several senior members of the team have also been individually recognised by both legal directories for their expertise.

Furthermore, the team comprises Law Society Clinical Negligence Accredited Solicitors and AvMA Specialist Clinical Negligence panel members.

The team compromises four Partners, six Solicitors, three Paralegals, a Trainee Solicitor, six Legal Secretaries and a dedicated Client Relationship Coordinator.

**The role**

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Clinical Negligence Client Relationship Co-Ordinator to become an integral part of a well-established specialist team dealing with Clinical Negligence, and occasionally Personal Injury, enquiries.

As Clinical Negligence Client Relationship Co-Ordinator, you will be the first point of contact for potential new clients contacting the department with enquiries relating to Clinical Negligence. You will take a detailed history from the potential client for the purpose of assessing, with the assistance of senior fee earners, whether the firm can assist with the client’s enquiry.

Key Responsibilities:

- To act as primary point of contact for all new Clinical Negligence enquiries received by the Personal and Medical Injuries Department, either by phone or through our website.
- To work within an agreed SLA to ensure that all new enquiries are dealt with, managed and followed up in a timely manner.
- To represent the company in a professional and approachable manner at all times
- Build effective communication links with prospective clients and colleagues, liaising regularly with internal departments.
- Ask the right questions to ensure that we fully understand the client’s needs, promoting other service areas where necessary & triaging the enquiry as required.
- Provide the Management Board with feedback and reports on pipeline enquiries and conversion rates on a departmental basis.
- Work closely with the Marketing Manager to identify new marketing channels and evaluate the effectiveness of existing marketing channels.
- Book appointments in fee earners diaries for face-to-face appointments and call backs.
- Liaise with Head of Department as to workload and availability within the department.
- Review and process client information, ensuring that the data recorded is accurate.
- Ensure that proper records are kept and recorded in terms of Source of Business, contact information, and any other relevant information, for marketing purposes.
- Scheduling follow-up communications with new Clinical Negligence enquiries.
- Work alongside colleagues to ensure that we deliver an exceptional client experience.
- Ensure that all internal processes are followed.
- Opening new files and setting up retainer and funding documentation, as required.
- Any other reasonable duties as directed by your Manager.

Experience of working in a law firm would be beneficial, but not essential.

You will have a flexible approach in order to assist with a varied caseload, be IT literate, and be confident using and adapting to new systems and processes.

**Location and working hours**
- Full-time (office hours are 9am - 5.15pm, Monday to Friday), but we are happy to consider applicants who wish to work on a part-time basis.
