Bank Mental Health Support Worker

We are looking for:
- **1 bank support worker**
Our Supported Living Service offers on-site support for up to 13 male residents, who are being rehabilitated and prepared for independent living. There are good transport connections (by bus, train and London Underground) and a car park on site.
Through well planned activities and a personalised care package, we encourage our service users to reach their goals and be proud of their achievements, including the ability to:
- self administer medication
- live independently
- access local education and employment
- develop budgeting skills
- practice healthy eating and exercise
- support with daily living skills
- improve social skills
- manage and understand taking appropriate risks
- community engagement
You will use your excellent communication and support skills, working in our paperless environment, with colleagues and partner agencies to achieve the best outcome for our residents. **The role of Mental Health Support Worker will include**:
- Regular key working and support planning to ensure relevant support is provided for our clients
- Enabling and encouraging our clients to maximise their own potential and level of independence
- Assessing clients’ needs by writing and updating support plans, and completing risk assessments online
Working with statutory and non-statutory agencies on behalf of the residents, actively encouraging choice and involvement, acting as an advocate when required Sourcing innovative solutions to problems that allow clients’ independence to be enhanced
**Criteria**:
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience working with Mental Health clients
- Residential Care Experience
- Minimum of Level 2 in Health and Social Care
- Excellent communication and listening skills
- The ability to work on your own initiative
- Working knowledge of Microsoft and Google Drive
**As this is a Bank position to provide cover as and when we need it, such as for annual leave or sick leave, the hours and days you work will vary.**
