A well established family run Vehicle Breakers Site based in Nottingham near to Showcase Cinema, are looking to recruit a focused, enthusiastic, and committed Supply Chain Warehouse Apprentice.

Please note this is a vehicle breaker yard and therefore the environment requires someone who does not mind working outside in what can be a safe but dirty environment, and who potentially has an interest in the mechanical side of vehicles.

Good accurate IT skills are required and training will be given on bespoke systems. It must be noted that it is not an office based post in a smart general administration building, it is a site office in a breaker yard. Knowledge of and interest in cars would be a bonus, but not essential if there is a willingness to learn. There will be some physical sourcing from vehicles, stocking and labelling parts in the stock warehouse and uploading stocks of parts on the electronic system. There will also be packing and despatching of parts and management of advertising on EBAY/Breaker Link etc as well as sourcing stock online for buying in to customer requirements.

The successful applicant will be dealing with customers face to face and on the telephone and will need to be conversant with MS Word, Outlook and Ebay - training will be given in the bespoke systems and the use of relevant software for example BreakerLink.

There will be packing and despatching of items bought by customers online and over the telephone as part of the daily routine and uploading of details and photographs using the IT system on online sales sites. There will also be online sourcing of items using bespoke vehicle parts sites if there is not stock in the yard fit for purpose. There will be maintenance of stock records for the parts warehouse and vehicle logs as general administration and also the need to be involved in physical stock control checks. Training will be given on telephone skills, effective questioning and sales techniques and administrative systems, health and safety requirements and environmental management etc.

**Duties will include**:

- Learn how provide valuable Supply Chain Warehouse Operative
- Learn how to operate inhouse systems to meet the needs of the business with the intake, retrieval of parts and logging of stock and despatch of items.
- Learn how to manage customers expectations and offer high level of customer service.
- Learn how to identify Vehicle parts and log on inhouse systems ready for sales and source online using various Breaker Software Sites and EBAY.
- Manage sales processes and keep tight records of stock in and out.
- Providing support to different departments including office
- Undertaking general administration and stock control duties

**What training will you take and what qualification will you get at the end?**

During your apprenticeship programme in Supply Chain Warehouse you will receive training both off and on the job. You will be required to attend WEBS Training as and when required, the rest of the time you will be within the workplace. You will learn the underpinning knowledge that runs alongside your training. You will use a wide range of skills whilst you complete your training.

Training will be provided in all areas of Supply Chain Warehouse to Level 2 to ensure you are capable of providing support to the team and directors with a view to potentially progressing into a level 3 role.

If you have already achieved GCSE maths and English at Grade 4/C or above or have equivalent qualification you will be exempt from undertaking Functional Skills, however English and maths support will be provided for all apprentices throughout the length of their programme.

**Things to consider**

Please note this role is based on a car breakers yard. The role is within the stock sales office, however the yard is busy and noisy and can be dirty at times.
