**Role Overview**:
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing tailored support to students with a variety of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, utilising our specialised facilities and resources to enhance their learning experience. Working closely with our dedicated team of teachers and therapists, you will assist in implementing individualized education plans, fostering independence, and promoting social interaction among students.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Provide personalised support to students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, utilising specialised strategies and resources to meet their diverse needs.
- Assist in the delivery of structured activities and interventions aimed at developing communication, social, and life skills.
- Collaborate with teachers and therapists to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment, incorporating sensory experiences and therapeutic techniques.
- Foster positive relationships with students, encouraging engagement and participation in classroom activities and social interactions.
- Utilise the school's facilities, including the hydrotherapy pool, sensory rooms, and outdoor spaces, to enhance the learning and well-being of students with SEND.
**Requirements**:
- Previous experience working with individuals with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities is highly desirable.
- A compassionate and patient approach with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt teaching and support strategies to meet the individual needs of students with SEND.
- A commitment to promoting inclusion, diversity, and equality within the school community.
- Relevant qualifications in special education or SEND-specific training would be advantageous but not essential.
