About the Role:

We are seeking a Graduate Teaching Assistant to provide vital support to pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in Salford and Bolton.

  • Salary: £84+ per day through PAYE
  • Schedule: Full-time roles (Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 3:30 pm); part-time roles are also available
  • Location: Opportunity to work in various schools across Salford and Bolton, supporting multiple year groups

Key Responsibilities:

  • 1:1 and Group Support: Provide tailored support to students with a variety of SEND needs, including ASD, PMLD, and other learning difficulties.
  • Assist Learning: Help students with different learning requirements in both classroom and one-on-one settings, ensuring they engage with and understand the curriculum.
  • Develop Independence: Foster students' communication, social, and life skills, helping them build confidence and independence.
  • Collaborate with Staff: Work closely with class teachers, SENCOs (Special Educational Needs Coordinators), and other support staff to implement individual learning plans (IEPs) and ensure each student's needs are met.

Requirements:

  • Graduate Background: A degree in English, Maths, Psychology, Education Studies, or a related field is desirable.
  • Passionate and Empathetic: A genuine passion for supporting students with SEND, patience, and empathy are essential for this role.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This is a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
