Job Title: Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant

Job Description:

We are seeking a passionate and ambitious Psychology Graduate to join our team at Prospero Teaching. As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will work with small groups of children with complex needs, providing support and guidance to help them reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working with and providing support to children with SEN (Special Educational Needs)
  • Experience of supporting pupils with additional needs
  • The willingness to provide an environment in which pupils can reach their full potential
  • The ability to build rapport with the children, supporting their social and behavioural needs, and acting as a mentor

Requirements:

  • Psychology degree
  • Enhanced DBS (clean and relevant)
  • Safeguarding certificate, prevent awareness, FGM
  • Behaviour management training (desirable)
  • A committed and enthusiastic attitude to work
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to form new relationships
  • A full driving licence with access to a vehicle

Desirable:

  • Previous experience working with young people
  • Good knowledge of SEMH needs
