Four Squared Recruitment are partnering with an ambitious and growing technology business in Worcestershire to recruit a purchasing and contracts executive to join their team.

**The role -**

The purchasing and contract executive role hold responsibility for turning around high value detailed orders while working to an SLA.

The role includes stock allocation and rate negotiation in order to ensure orders are being processed with the maximum profitability possible.

Maintaining and building on internal and external relationships is key. The procurement specialist must have confidence in raising any risk to management while also maintaining out the box thinking for quick problem resolution.

The ability to work in a high-pressure environment while remaining optimistic but realistic is vital.

**Responsibilities -**
- Discover profitable suppliers and initiate business and organisation partnerships
- Negotiate with external vendors to secure advantageous terms
- Finalise purchase details of orders and deliveries
- Examine and test existing contracts
- Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
- Collaborate with key persons to ensure clarity of the specifications and expectations of the company
- Foresee alterations in the comparative negotiating ability of suppliers and clients
- Expect unfavourable events through analysis of data and prepare control strategies
- Perform risk management for supply contracts and agreements
- Control spend and build a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs
- Working with project managers to understand project timeline deliverables
- Procurement of goods and services
- Working within an SLA time frame for procurement
- Have responsibility for stock and inventory control
- Develop, create, and maintain standardised framework, supply agreements and purchasing specifications
- Good spoken and written communication skills
- Strong presentation and negotiation skills
- Good 'people skills’, for working with a range of colleagues and clients
- The ability to lead and motivate colleagues
- A professional manner
- Good business sense and the ability to work to budgets

**You will be -**
- Moderate understanding of technology/technical terminology.
- Confidence in negotiation.
- History in a similar role.
- Advanced skillset in the Microsoft packages (Excel, Outlook, Word, OneNote, PowerPoint)
- Ability to think outside the box and provide suggestions for prompt problem resolution.
- Previous use of ERP systems
- Understanding of stock management
