Registry Sales Specialist - EMEA

**Location**: London

**Grade**: 12 (for internal purposes only)

**The Role**: An exciting opportunity for a Registry Sales Specialist to join our Commercial Strategy team. The individual will be working along-side senior sales experts as part of a team advancing and growing our Environmental Solutions business, while delivering against wider strategic objectives.

Our integrated environmental platform provides end-to-end management of environmental portfolios and full support for existing and emerging environmental programs and markets. The environmental registry provides secure, robust, transparent and automated services for the listing and management of carbon and other environmental assets (including water and biodiversity).

The individual will be aligned with the Environmental Solutions team, working in close collaboration to expand our Environmental Registry offering, predominately focused on driving new leads with new and existing Commodity Insights customer to two different products, Registry as a Service and Meta Registry. The Registry Sales Specialist will articulate the value proposition of our Registry offering to new leads,

**The Impact**: This is an exciting opportunity that supports the build out of a new registry ecosystem in the carbon market. Being on the forefront of change in this emerging asset class allows innovative ways to partner with existing and new customers in core and adjacent markets. This role will facilitate and advance commercial objectives in the respective region (s) to attain and exceed its ACV retention and growth targets and contribute to both short term and long tern commercial objectives. This role will be making a global impact on the growth of Environmental Solutions portfolio and deliver growth in a new and strategic area for Commodity Insights.

**Responsibilities**:
Perform against defined metrics of new business growth through:
Research, pre-qualify and engage with prospects on specific needs/business problems and lead an insight-based approach of engagement for both potential and existing clients
Discover sales opportunities by researching client structure, personae, key strategic objectives, while effectively managing and assigning leads to relevant commercial parties and assist in team-selling approach.
Support throughout sales cycle with follow up actions, engagements while bringing in relevant internal expertise

Bring VOC back to the business and understand competitive landscape by attending relevant industry events and client meetings.

Stay on top of industry developments, competitive landscape
Articulate the value proposition of our Registry offering when meeting potential customers and existing users, while sharing VOC with relevant internal stakeholders
Using CFDC document meeting notes, maintain account plans, capture and execute on next steps of client interactions
Participate in ad -hoc projects to support team objectives and promote the CI brand

**Qualifications**:
Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience in sales and energy and commodities space
Proven experience in sales/business development roles, strong understanding of commodity markets
Demonstrating an understanding of Registry role in the Carbon market
Must have excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
Must have strong organizational skills and display strong time management skills
Strategic and analytical mind set with strong interpersonal skills
Prior experience in selling software is an advantage
