**About the role**:
An exciting opportunity has arisen to work as a Family Support Worker within our Through Care Team (0-14). We strive to build trusting relationships with our looked after children, their families, foster carers, residential staff, schools, and other professionals involved in the children’s care. Our Family Support Workers focus on direct work with our children and provide practical and individual support. They work closely with the team’s social workers to ensure that we achieve the best outcomes for our children.
**About you**:
- Motivated and creative when working with children and their families.
- Listens carefully to the wishes and feelings of children.
- Encourages children and their families to participate at every opportunity.
- A confident communicator.
- Works well independently and as part of a team
**What you will do**:
- Work closely with the allocated Social Worker in order to ensure a child or young person’s plan is delivered.
- Carry a caseload of children and young people and manage your own workload as a secondary worker.
- Work with children, young people and their families and carers with complex situations and competing demands
- Undertake direct work with children, young people and their families or carers, including Life Story Work
- Record your work undertaken in a timely way and in line with local authority requirements.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £25,979.00-£27,334.00 per year
