**About us**

The Design Cabin Community C.I.C is a youth led not-for-profit that supports young people under the age of 30-years-old in design, technology, entrepreneurship, employment, creativity, and self-expression.

Founded in May 2020, The Design Cabin C.I.C wanted to support young people to create their own peer-led opportunities, by showcasing the amazing talent that today’s youth have, in a possible platform, away from negative stigma that young people face in the media.

The not-for-profit runs youth markets for small business owners to trade and for performers to showcase their repertoires with the aim of creating a like-minded community of young people. The company hopes to create opportunities for young people to utilise their existing skills and to learn new ones while promoting a culture of conversation about and planning towards young people’s futures.

In January The Design Cabin Community C.I.C was awarded Social Enterprise of the Year 2023 at Rochford Business Awards.

This role will report directly to the Executive Director.

**Schedule**: Monday to Friday (Some weekends required)

**Flexi-Hours**: Between 08:00am and 18:00pm, average at 5h per shift

**Pay**: £11.50 to £13 p/h

**Location**: Rochford, Essex (Traveling to: Brentwood, Southend & Newham)

**Responsibilities**:

- Manage inboxes
- Schedule social media posts
- Manage messages on social media
- Oversee and maintain a registration list
- Project manage events
- Familiar with Eventbrite or willing to learn
- Familiar with Canva or willing to learn
- Organise and schedule appointments, meetings and conferences.
- Maintain diary, arrange meetings and appointments and provide reminders.
- Take detailed minutes of meetings and prepare accurate reports.
- Take dictation and accurately enter data.
- Support with fundraising bids.
- Support with monitoring and evaluation documents.
- Maintain an online filing system to ensure efficient and organised storage of documents.
- Maintain contact lists and update them as necessary.
- Provide general administrative support to the team.
- Be confident in managing your own workload
- Friendly and flexible

**Requirements**:

- Understanding of the not-for-profit sector.
- Proficiency in Office 365 (Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint, etc.).
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise work effectively.
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multi-task.
- Full comprehension of office management systems and procedures.

**Due to the nature of this role, we will be required to run an enhanced DBS check.**

**Job Types**: Freelance, Part-time.

**Contract length**: 6 months.

**Hours**: 48 hours per month, 12 hours per week.

**Salary**:£11.50-£13.00 per hour
