An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit a fixed term, full or part-time Administrator/Receptionist to support our Community Mental Health Services across the Rochford Locality. Although this is maternity cover, an opportunity could be available for a permanent post following completion.

You will be pivotal in providing a comprehensive administration service to support clinical services and functions within the Trust’s localities.

The role will require working closely within a range of health professionals from consultants to health professionals that provide care for those with immediate requirements within an outpatient capacity.

What is Staff Bank?

Our EPUT NHS staff bank is an entity managed by the trust that hires clinical and non-clinical healthcare professionals to take on shifts at our trust hospitals and community settings. Here at EPUT we maintain our own bank of specialist staff to ensure that we are able offer safe and effective care at all times.

All our permanent staff are automatically enrolled onto the staff bank however this does not mean you have to work any additional shifts, but the option is there for you if you wish.

If you are joining our Trust in a fixed term role, please indicate on your New Starter Paperwork that you wish to join our staff bank.

ROLE SUMMARY
- To operate as a centralised department providing a comprehensive administration service and functions within the Trusts’ Localities.
- The service will ensure the timely and accurate recording of all activity across services using Trust information systems.
- The service will require a team approach to ensure cover for absence across all services / locations.
- Post holders, as appropriate, will be required to provide administration duties on behalf of these services.
- Due to the nature of the role a strong emphasis is placed on safeguarding confidentiality and this forms a pre-requisite for every Administration Assistant / Receptionist.
- The Post Holder will be required to work on a rota system to cover core hours of 9am to 5pm.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide a comprehensive administrative service for the smooth flow of a patients journey throughout their personal experience.
- Producing written communications between the patient and the services that they require and update personal records accordingly.
- First point of call for all visitors to the clinics in the main reception area when supporting a clinic at the front end.
- Answering and transferring calls in a timely manor.
- Strong Team work ethic.
- Administer ordering systems.
- Data protection.
- Organisational and planning skills with an acute attention to detail.
- Setup of meetings and adhoc clinical requests.
- Learn bespoke systems.
- Adhoc admin tasks to support the flow within the outpatient departments.
- Minute taking and typing up various documents in a timely manor.
- Organising meetings both face to face and virtual.
