**Befriending & Inclusion Coordinator**:
**BEFRIENDING & INCLUSION COORDINATOR**

**Salary: Grade J: £44,691- £47,736 per annum plus Travel Allowance of £1,220 per annum**

**Hours: 35 per week**

**DBS Required? Y - Enhanced Check with Children’s Barred List**

Responsible to: Group Manager, Children with Disabilities Team

**Responsible for: Depu**ty Coordinator, Family Engagement Worker and Sessional workers

**Role Purpose**

The London Borough of Tower Hamlets Befriending and Inclusion Service are looking for an enthusiastic and caring person to lead a team of befrienders for disabled children who live in the borough.

The children range in age from five to seventeen years of age and have varying disabilities such as autism, cerebral palsy, Downs Syndrome, global delay, and visual and hearing impairments. You should be confident in managing behaviours and tantrums that disabled children often tend to display.

**Requirements**:
You will need to have a very good standard of written and spoken English.
