A new opportunity has arisen to work in the exciting world of Research at Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Based primarily at the Bradford Institute for Health Research, as Communications and Training Coordinator, you will form part of the wider Research team, specifically and exclusively undertaking projects related to the Improvement Academy (IA), the NIHR Applied Research Collaboration Yorkshire and Humber (NIHR ARC YH), Born in Bradford Age of Wonder (AoW), and the Academic Unit for Ageing and Stroke Research (ASR).

This is a wide and varied role requiring excellent organisation, communication, and administration skills, with an opportunity to work with multiple teams and stakeholders. The role will involve responsibility for multiple communication channels, supporting the delivery of both virtual and face-to-face training and events, and contributing to the delivery of organisational communications strategies, with direction and support from the Communications and Engagement Lead for Research.

This is the perfect role for someone who is looking to begin their career within NHS and public sector communication, or alternative someone within a similar, junior, role, to take their next steps.

To act as team lead for all communications including monthly bulletin and linked blog. Expand the use of social media and communication methods to promote and publicise work and events of the Academy, ASR, and ARC, and the AoW team.
To take responsibility and manage the administration element of events i.e. planning, organising, supporting, hosting, facilitating, monitoring progress, reporting.
To ensure the teams maintain efficient administrative systems and processes, making best use of technology, ensuring high standards of governance, correspondence and communications.
To provide administrative support to the Clinical Director, Academy Director, ARC Core team and wider team
