**About The Role**

**Do you have a good understanding of homelessness and/or supporting vulnerable people or groups? Do you enjoy empowering people to develop their skills, strengths and talents? Then join the Salvation Army Housing Association (Saha) as a Project Worker and you could soon be playing a vital role key working a caseload of residents.**

Working in an environment that is dedicated to providing comprehensive, good quality housing services, support and resettlement, you will work with people who are or have recently experienced homelessness and who are in need of support and accommodation.

Assessing needs, building trust, enabling and unlocking our clients potential to live independently, you will need to get to know your clients, enhance their social integration and abilities by encouraging them to participate in social and leisure programmes, help residents with their support needs and with the practicalities of everyday living.

You will be motivating residents to recognise and unlock their talents to enable them to achieve their full potential, through the delivery of a comprehensive supported package provided to residents including housing management, needs assessment and support planning.

**What you will be doing**:

- Working with residents to ensure that they receive a comprehensive supported housing service, delivered to the highest possible standard
- Developing and maintaining good working professional relationships with all key stakeholders in the statutory and voluntary sector and ensure that the Project is publicised to all relevant agencies, local employers and the local community
- Communicating the in-house activity program and encouraging participation with facilitation of activities
- Ensuring that day to day delivery of services is safe and effective in relation to our residents, staff, grounds and buildings whilst meeting all contractual / organisational goals
- Delivering tenancy related support, case/risk management within the service, ensuring that any practical support required is delivered to residents

**About You**

We're looking for people who instinctively work in a manner that aligns fully with Saha’s delivery values, demonstrating understanding and patience, pride in your daily contribution to transforming lives and be able to build strong working relationships.

Naturally you will have good knowledge or experience of working with homeless people, and / or supporting vulnerable people or groups, have a good idea of the wider support and funding facilities available and be comfortable dealing with difficult or complex situations.

You will need to be able to participate in our 24 hour shift rota system - **Typically for our Part Time Project Worker Position you will be working 20 hours over 3 days as part of a 2 week rolling rota**.

**We're looking for people who have**:

- A good understanding of Safeguarding and Case/Risk Management
- Previous experience of working with vulnerable adults with complex needs
- Good time management with an ability to work under pressure
- Passion about making a difference and thrive in a fast paced environment
