In line with Black Box Group’s growth plan and our continued success and expansion, a new opportunity for a Fire & Security Maintenance Contracts Sales Role has become available, working out of our headquarters in Chorley.

Reporting directly to our Black Box Group Head of Sales, you must be confident, self-motivated, capable of multi-tasking and have a strong customer focus.

You will need to have experience in professional direct sales with a passion to learn the following Electronic Security and Life Safety System disciplines:

- Intruder Alarm
- CCTV
- Access Control
- Fire Alarm

This is an opportunity to sell new, advanced technology in an open and highly responsive marketplace within a very well established and respected organisation.

You must be able to work full time flexible working hours and have a strong positive work ethic.

**Responsibilities and Duties**
- Develop new Maintenance (PPM) sales opportunities with new prospect end user clients including possible Facilities Management (FM) providers.
- Undertake activities to secure orders that achieve sales and AOP objectives.
- Develop, maintain and strengthen effective relationships with both new and existing key clients that leads to profitable sales and sustained growth, placing emphasis on maximising recurring revenue opportunities.
- Carry out face to face appointments with targeted decision makers and influencers.
- Develop strategies to deliver objectives for sales, margin, market-share and competitive account penetration.
- Assessing opportunities to increase spend with both new and existing key clients.
- Identify new clients that fit our strategy/markets/geographic locations.

**Role Requirements**
- Research sales opportunities and initiate marketing promotions to attract new sales.
- Identify and target potential clients in need of our maintenance services.
- Build and maintain relationships with prospective maintenance customers.
- Understand clients' maintenance requirements and provide advice on solutions.
- Create and maintain a sales pipeline, tracking all leads and potential opportunities.
- Prepare maintenance quotations for prospective clients.
- Ensure proposed quotes align to clients' needs / industry standards.
- Handover Orders, once received to relevant coordinator along with all necessary documentation for processing and set up.
- Consult with the maintenance / operations team to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Remain updated on industry trends and technology relevant to maintenance services.
- Negotiate terms / pricing of maintenance solutions to agree mutual terms with clients.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, competition, opportunities within our maintenance services industry.
- Strategic organisational and forward planning skills will be key.
- Current clean driving licence.
- Ability to pass our Security Screening Processes.
- Flexibility to perform any other duties that may be assigned as and when required from the management team.

**The ideal applicant will have the following**:

- Good interpersonal and communication skills to liaise and sell to customers including a friendly and positive telephone manner.
- Previous knowledge or experience within the Life Safety & Security sector is desirable but not essential, possibly from an engineering perspective but now looking to move into Sales.
- Strong willingness to learn is essential to succeed in this role.
- Likeable, confident and positive attitude.
- Be able to demonstrate a logical approach to planning site surveys.
- Excellent organisational skills to follow through all sales leads from survey to post completion.
- Minimum of 1 years’ experience working in a sales, customer facing, is essential for this role.
- Must be PC literate.
