**About The Service**
Cardiff Family Advice and Support is an innovative and progressive service within the directorate of Adults, Housing and Communities in Cardiff Council. Recently accredited with a Families First Quality Award, the service provides high quality information, advice and assistance for children, young people, families and professionals across the city.

The service utilises a family centred, strengths based and inclusive approach, to identify the most appropriate support that will meet the wellbeing needs of both individuals and the family as a whole. The team works collaboratively with a range of professionals and partners to ensure support is at the right level and at the right time.

**About the job**
We are seeking to appoint an Index Officer to job share 2 days a week (regular days being Thursday and Friday) alongside the incumbent Index Officer.

The Disability Index ensures that families of children and young people with disabilities or additional needs are kept up to date with information that is both relevant and beneficial to them. In addition, it assists the planning and co-ordination of services supporting those children, young people and their families.

The postholder will be key to the ongoing development of the Index and will work to identify the information and support needs of children and young people with disabilities or additional needs and their families.

Applicants will be required to have appropriate qualifications, experience, excellent communication skills and the ability to produce work of a consistently high standard.

- The ability to maintain good professional relationships with service users.
