Senior Temporary Staffing Officer

You will be an integral part of our Workforce, Rostering and Employee Services team. Working closely with the Temporary staffing Team leader you will be support the operational delivery of the temporary staffing teams across the Trust and optimisation of system use.
You will work collaboratively with teams across the trust to highlight and identify streamlined ways of working, closely working with the rostering teams to ensure you can provide advice and support around best practice to improve temporary staffing utilisation.
- Support the delivery of the temporary staffing service, ensuring work streams are efficient and targets are being achieved in providing a quality service
- Provide line management support to the appropriate staff to ensure appropriate level of service and deal with line management issues.
- Liaising with the trust, departments and other stakeholders as required to provide a high-quality service.
- Liaising with agency colleagues supporting audits and fact finding.
- Working with our Matron for professional standards to support our temporary workforce.
- Supporting recruitment colleagues to ensure our temporary workforce continues to build.

In liaison with HR organise recruitment days for temporary staff
Increase the number of temporary staff across staff groups available to the trust and active on the bank register.
Maintain systems relating to the verification of bank staff pre-employment requirements, professional registration (e.g. NMC), current mandatory training status, and workplace induction standards
Authorise the relevant Workforce forms relating to the recruitment of staff to the Temporary Staffing Register following successful completion of recruitment process as defined in the Temporary staffing Office operational policy.
Build and maintain effective communication and good working relationships with temporary staff, ward managers and nursing staff and other Temporary Staffing Service users across the trust and external to the trust.
Actively seeks information from managers to update team members on issues / developments.
Develop and maintain a system for dealing with paper/information flows through the office working which promotes a modern, paper-light office environment, making best use of IT
Develop and manage the implementation of Temporary Staffing office procedures ensuring process flows are up to date and maintained
In conjunction with your line manager, actively review staffing structures to ensure effective use of resources.
To proactively and flexibly understand and utilise a range of systems and approaches to maximise the locum booking service, actively reviewing and evaluating the success of the systems and processes in place and implementing service improvements.
To manage service delivery, measuring key deliverables against KPIs and taking appropriate actions where these are not achieved
Will welcome staff contribution and suggestions and will ensure that staff are aware of actions that have been taken to their suggestions.
Team members feel valued and are thanked for work undertaken.
Seeks resolutions / continual improvement and undertakes regular analysis of systems.
