We have an exciting opportunity to appoint a talented and ambitious post-doctoral research assistant to join our multidisciplinary 3-year collaborative project, funded by the Medical Research Council entitled: “_An integrative transethnic approach to identify novel functional genes in Parkinson's disease using in silico and in vivo experiments_”.

**Duties and responsibilities**:

- To take initiatives in the planning of research
- To conduct genetic and genomic data analyses
- To always ensure the validity and reliability of data
- To maintain accurate and complete records of all findings
- To present findings to colleagues and at conferences
- To submit publications to refereed journals

**Essential requirements**:

- **Research Associate**:Hold a PhD (or equivalent) in genetics, molecular biology, computational biology or a related discipline
- ** Research Assistant**:Near completion of a PhD (or equivalent) in genetics, molecular biology, computational biology or a related discipline- Strong experience in genomic data analysis
- Practical experience within a research environment and / or publication in relevant and refereed journals
- Experience of coding bioinformatics pipelines

**Further information**:
This is a full time and fixed term post for 1 year. You will be based at the Hammersmith Campus (East Acton).
