Epsilogen are seeking a Research Scientist (possibly at Senior Scientist level, depending on experience) with protein biochemistry expertise to join the company at this exciting time in our development. The role will be based at laboratory facilities in West London and will principally involve design and execution of experiments and associated laboratory activities. To succeed, you will have a deep understanding of drug discovery and pre-clinical development gained from a combination of academia as well as the biotech and/or pharma industry experience. Ideally you will have a PhD qualification as well as at least 2 years’ relevant post-doctoral experience. You must have excellent communication skills, the ability to work independently, possess acute attention to detail and be fully familiar with current laboratory practice.
Epsilogen is run by a small, dedicated group of professionals with substantial multi-decade experience of the biotechnology industry across all relevant fields including therapeutic antibody discovery and engineering, cellular immunology, preclinical development, manufacturing, intellectual property creation and prosecution, clinical development, financing and business development. The company is a leading pioneer within the burgeoning field of immuno-oncology and you will have the opportunity to contribute to the innovation of all aspects of the company’s pipeline and platforms within this exciting field. You will undertake laboratory work aimed at supporting product discovery and platform development projects towards establishment of candidates for formal pre-clinical development. You should have a PhD in biological/biochemical science, or equivalent experience, preferably across academia and the biotechnology/pharmaceutical industry.

Understanding of the biologic/pharmaceutical product discovery and pre-clinical development process.
· Possess a wide range of technical skills, including molecular biology, construct design, protein expression from bacterial and mammalian host cells, mammalian tissue culture, protein purification and characterisation (affinity determination, specificity determination, cell binding, thermodynamic characterisation etc.).
