NHS Professionals have exciting opportunities for a Pharmacist with experience with particular experience to support our client trusts. You will maintain key relationships with co-workers and other health care professionals across the Trust to ensure an effectiveservice.

The John Radcliffe Hospital (JR) is Oxfordshire's main accident and emergency site. The JR provides acute medical and surgical services including trauma, intensive care and cardiothoracic services. It is situated in Headington, about three miles east ofOxford city centre. It is the largest of the Trust's hospitals, covering around 66 acres.

The John Radcliffe site also houses many departments of Oxford University Medical School, is home to the George Pickering Education Centre and base for most medical students who are trained throughout the Trust.

**RESPONSIBLE FOR**:
Counselling patients that attend Pharmacy on how to take their medicines in a safe manner and warning them of possible side effects that they may experience during treatment.

Involvement with the audit and the development of the department in relation to service provision, policy update and working practices.

Receiving prescriptions from patients/staff and receiving payment for prescription charges. Participates in processes to ensure that drug stock levels are monitored and accurately maintained.

Using the Pharmacy computer system and other information technology in all areas of Pharmacy. If based at the JR or CH site to be fully competent in the use of the Robotic Dispensing system, with the ability to diagnose and resolve robot issues or escalateas required.

Assisting in ensuring dispensary work is processed accurately, safely and efficiently and according to procedures to support turnaround key performance indicators.

Undertaking in house training to be able to process or destroy returned controlled drugs in line with local procedure and to be responsible for completing continuing professional development within own time.

To be an Accredited Technician Checker and GPhC Registered.

Pharmacists to complete in house accreditation to complete dispensary based screening as appropriate.

Knowledge of working with Cerner millennium (desired).
