Group Business Support Administrator

An exciting opportunity has opened up to join our Group Team as Group Business Support Administrator based out our office in Solihull working 5 days a week.
The Group Business Support Administrator will report to the Group Strategic Projects Manager and provide high level administrative and business support to the Group Executive Team, evaluate the external market to ensure we are maximising the potential of Group, assist the GSPM in commercial assessments of acquisition targets. Coordinate key projects and manage group communications internally and externally.
**Key Responsibilities**
**RESPONSIBILITIES / KEY TASKS**:
1. **Group Communications - manage and execute the Group Communication Plan**:
- Working with group marketing teams and GSPM, deliver all media coverage to represent The Billington Group profile appropriately.
- Be responsible for the coordination of the social media activities for The Billington Group, including maintaining the corporate website, Instagram and Linked In pages.
- Formulate and maintain an internal communications agenda.
- Ensure we are maximising communications on the Group’s purpose and values.
- Edit and distribute the quarterly newsletter, The Billington Link.
- Edit and issue the H&S, Finance and Growing for the Future annual booklets
**2. Group Commercial Monitoring & Research**
- Research competitors and potential acquisition targets and circulate to relevant personnel.
- Review relevant market data (mainly food, drink and agriculture) and through in-depth analysis make recommendations on how best the Group can exploit and derive opportunities from the trends established.
- Regular updates of news on competitors, customers or market information to relevant personnel
- Attend trade shows to represent the Group and seek out opportunities.
- Work with the Group Executive Team and external partners to research potential acquisition targets for the EBS Group.
- Support the integration process of new acquisitions into the group.
**3. Group Events & Key Projects**
- Organise group events including Group management conference, AGM, Family Assembly, Billington Ball and other ad-hoc group events.
- Support and assist the Group Executive Team with written communications, reports, presentations and briefings.
- Provide ad-hoc project co-ordination to centrally delivered projects including Growing for the Future (CSR platform).
- Act as conduit for sharing best practice across the Group, supporting GSPM.
**4. Other Duties**
- Work with the Office Manager to support them in the running of the Barn and key meetings including supplier and customer visits. Provide holiday cover for the PA/Office Manager.
- Provide support and ad hoc administration for Billington Foundation and Company Secretary
- Keep the office displays updated with relevant and new products from across the Group
- Portray a positive image of the company and its values in a professional manner at all times.
- Any other duties which might reasonably be requested in association with this role in order to meet the needs of the business.
- Adhere to all company rules and procedures, paying particular attention to health and safety.

- To possess an industry relevant qualification
- To possess a degree or equivalent qualification
- To possess a CIPD qualification
