Ginger & Green is an interior design studio based in North London and Epping. We offer a full interior design service for mainly residential projects, with a wide portfolio around London and across the UK. From initial concept design, detailed design specifications to full installation, build and project management.
As a small but rapidly growing business, we’re looking for a design assistant with 0-2 years experience to be an integral part of our team. You’ll work alongside experienced interior designers at the top of their game, across in phases of the design & build process, from concept design all the way through to project completion.
Responsibilities include:
- Under guidance, create layered moodboards & presentations
- Attend site to assist in taking detailed & accurate measurements and photographs at beginning of design process
- Prepare floor plans based on measurements taken from site
- Help maintain budget & specification document throughout design & build process
- Contact suppliers, order samples, collect and document pricing and lead times
- Assist with product research and sourcing during specification process
- Organise & maintain studios
- Support team in procurement process; ordering items, arranging deliveries & returns
- Update and maintain digital project files
- Liaise with Ginger & Green sub-contractors throughout the manufacturing process in order to ensure the chosen design is well executed and arrives on-site on time.
- Prepare and send out client quotes and invoices
- Participate in internal design meetings, and client design meetings when required
- Respond to customer enquiries and advance new client leads; keep the team up-to-date with progress
- Ad hoc Studio duties
- Support with Social Media pages
**Requirements**:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite
- Strong knowledge of interior design and trends; able to interpret and understand various design schemes
- Extremely organised and detail oriented
- Ability to produce layouts and floor plans confidently
- Good teamwork abilities while also able to complete tasks independently
- Demonstrate comfort at exploring new ideas in design
- Detailed knowledge of fixtures, fittings, materials etc required for residential and commercial projects
- Ability to work to tight deadlines
- Great communication skills; able to liaise with customers, clients, suppliers and contractors
- A proactive and energetic approach to work
- Ability to take initiative and manage numerous tasks simultaneously
**Salary**: £22,000.00-£23,000.00 per year
