Our client is a large local charity that works to improve the lives of vulnerable people across the North East.

**Background**

This role could be the ideal career opportunity for you if you have previous experience of youth work and are looking for a new challenge. There are 2 part time roles currently available, 1 at 10 hours per week and 1 at 7.5 hours per week.

**Duties & Responsibilities**
- Support the planning and development of programmes in response to the needs of young people and the communities. This will be as simple as supporting the Youth and Community Lead with ideas
- Work directly with and encourage communities and specifically young people to reach their full potential.
- Establish contact and maintain professional relationships with young people and their families through a youth and community work approach.
- Work with the Youth and Community Lead in order to continually evaluate and monitor the work delivered

**Person specification**
- Previous experience in youth work,
- Sound knowledge of safeguarding and safe work practices
- A full clean driving license and access to your own vehicle
- Flexible approach to working hours
