We are looking for a groundskeeper for our client site. There will be lots to keep you busy
**Broad Purpose of Job**
Responsible for maintenance of the client’s grounds, ensuring that areas are always presented to a high standard.
**Specific Duties and Responsibilities**
- Prepare and manage annual grounds maintenance schedule of works in line with client specification.
- Prepare monthly grounds maintenance reports.
- Deliver grounds work during the year, with regular reviews and adjustments as necessary to suit seasonal conditions, requirements, and timings.
- Prepare and maintain all shrub and flower beds as appropriate throughout the year.
- Ensure lawns and designated grass area are regularly mown to the agreed standard and edges trimmed as required.
- Maintain trees, hedgerows including pruning as required.
- Carry out snow clearance and salting of pathways and car parks as required during winter.
- Carry out leaf collection.
- Control inappropriate vegetation by manual and chemical weed treatment and removal including moss.
- Carry out spraying of pesticides and other horticultural chemicals as required.
- Maintenance of pesticide/chemicals logs.
- Ensure that rabbit numbers on site are controlled (using specialist contractor).
- Plan/book sub-contractors as required.
- Ensure that contractors are supervised in accordance with company procedures e.g. tree surgery, pest control, gritting etc.
- Ensure Groundskeeping storage areas, equipment and tools safely stored, cleaned, and maintained.
**Role Requirements***
- Detailed knowledge of plants and ground maintenance.
- Thorough knowledge of gardening tool and equipment use and maintenance.
- Pesticide spraying qualification.
- Driving Licence.
- Use of MS Office.
