Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Arboricultural Specialist to join our team at BSL. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of tree care and maintenance, ensuring the health and safety of trees in various environments.

This role requires proficiency in using both hand and power tools, as well as mechanical knowledge to perform essential tasks effectively. The Arboricultural Specialist will be responsible for maintaining landscapes, irrigating gardens, and executing various groundskeeping duties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough tree assessments to determine health and safety risks.
  • Perform tree pruning, felling, and removal as necessary, adhering to safety regulations.
  • Dig and prepare sites for planting or maintenance activities with precision and efficiency.
  • Maintain landscapes by irrigating, building garden features, and performing general upkeep, ensuring exceptional results.
  • Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently, prioritizing productivity and quality.
  • Ensure all equipment is maintained in good working order, minimizing downtime and maximizing output.
  • Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time while adhering to safety regulations, promoting a culture of excellence.
  • Provide expert advice to clients on tree care and landscape maintenance best practices, enhancing their knowledge and satisfaction.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven experience in arboriculture or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate various tools and machinery, including chainsaws and chippers.
  • Familiarity with landscape maintenance practices is advantageous, enabling effective communication with clients.
  • Experience in groundskeeping activities will be considered a plus, demonstrating versatility and adaptability.
  • A valid driving license is desirable for transportation to job sites, enhancing flexibility and responsiveness.

Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications. Additionally, the company offers a bonus scheme, commission pay, performance bonus, tips, and yearly bonus.
