We have an exciting opportunity for a proactive, confident and self-motivated Secretary to work for the Board of Lidl GB on a 12 month FTC. This is an ideal role for a positive and enthusiastic team player who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and strives in achieving perfection.

You will be supporting our Board Directors with administrative tasks and communicating internally across departments as well as with other Lidl countries. Working as part of the Board support team, you will need to be able to manage your workload whilst proactively accepting new tasks.

We have moved to a hybrid working model with a recommended 3 days in the office per week for appropriate Head Office and Regional roles, empowering our teams to choose how and where they work best. We feel it is important that, where possible, we offer our colleagues as much flexibility as possible and trust our teams to determine the right environments that work most effectively for them.

What you'll do
- Long-term calendar management and annual Board activities
- UK and International travel bookings including flights, trains, hotels and airport parking
- Planning and coordinating appointments, managing the agenda, providing refreshments and consolidating minutes
- Preparing KPI reports, executive summaries and presentations (including PowerPoint)
- Analysis of information and creation of executive summaries
- Support of Board Directors with administrative tasks
- Support in the implementation of projects
- Support in the running of national meetings.
- Regular handling of confidential and sensitive documents
- Executing general office management tasks, including hospitality and meeting room preparation
- Communicating with departments throughout our company

What you'll need
- Great communicator both written and spoken
- Excellent attention to detail
- Advanced Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills
- Confidentiality with the ability to work with sensitive information
- Initiative to understand and anticipate needs to ensure appropriate outcomes
- Able to work independently and build support networks
- Exceptional organisational skills
- A strong multitasker with the ability to prioritise conflicting deadlines and a varied workload
- Willingness to learn and develop within the role
- Previous PA / secretarial/administrative experience would be advantageous
