A versatile wirer/ front of house/ workshop operative is required at our busy factory based in New Basford, Nottingham.

This is a fulltime position available with an immediate start and would maybe suit a person (male or female) with a warehouse background.

This role will initially involve handling metal parts for electroplating and hand wiring for the process. Therefore, applicants must be dextrous with their hands; capable to operate a forklift and pump track to manoeuvre the goods in/out & throughout the workshop and dynamic to be able to work in a fast pace environment.

Forklift licence isn’t necessary but will be an advantage (training will be given).

Good communication skills are essential as the job will develop into some goods in/out reception work and phone manning.

Due to the nature of the process/business in general, there will be downtimes and it would ideally suit someone with old school values, who is proactive and would happily sweep the floors, pick up a paintbrush as and when needed, etc.

The applicant will be required to be flexible and multitask at all times.

Summary of responsibilities this role will include:

- Hand wiring metal articles for electroplating
- Loading/unloading goods (use of forklift / pallet truck / lifting boxes )
- Meeting and greeting all visitors to the business
- Answering, dealing with and forwarding all the calls and enquiries
- Booking jobs in / out (computer online system), following factory procedures
- Providing general administrative support as needed
- Serving as the main point of contact for all
- Maintaining all areas in a good, clean and presentable order

This role is critically important for the smooth operation of the business. We are looking for an enthusiastic and adaptable individual with a ‘can-do’ attitude. If you are a well-organised person that likes to keep busy and don’t mind getting your hands dirty, this might be just the job for you.

The working week will consist of Mon-Friday 8am-5pm at national minimum (living) wage paid weekly.

**Salary**: £10.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
