Workshop Controller Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Workshop Controller to join our team at the Institute of the Motor Industry. limited. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient running of the workshop, maintaining a professional environment, and providing technical support as needed.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Reporting to the Service Manager to ensure the smooth operation of the workshop.
  2. Maintaining workshop machinery and tools to ensure a professional environment.
  3. Providing technical support during training, MOT testing, and other activities.
  4. Ensuring good housekeeping and security in the workshop.
  5. Liaising with the Service department to keep customers informed and manage any complaints.

Requirements:
  1. Experience within the automotive industry, preferably in a technical role.
  2. Coaching and mentoring skills to support staff development.
  3. A technical background in the LCV/HGV industry is desirable.
