**What's it all about?**
The Visa Europe (VE) Indirect Tax Team is based in the London, Paddington office of Visa Europe. It sits within the VE Finance Division and covers Indirect, Corporate and Employment Taxes for the VE Region.
**What we expect of you, day to day.**
- Preparation of the quarterly UK Group VAT return and other statistical and reporting obligations including reconciliation of submissions to the balance sheet
- Preparation of required data for the annual partial exemption calculation
- Preparation of capital goods scheme calculation
- Maintenance and clearance of VAT general ledger accounts ensuring their integrity and accuracy
- Preparation of journal entries and certain other accounting requirements
- Preparation of quarterly reconciliations for Finance
- Maintaining trend analysis in respect of the UK VAT position
- Performing exception testing on data used for reporting purposes
- Enhancement and maintenance of process documentation regarding VAT compliance
- Preparation of certain Tax Authority submissions such as error correction notices and responses to HMRC queries
- Work closely with different functions within Finance and throughout the wider business to manage VAT accounting and processes as well as identify process and systems improvements
- Support the VAT team with internal and external VAT audits and other project and business related work
- Assist with queries from across the business

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
