**Accountable to**:Patient Services Director

**Responsible for**: Working as a member of the multidisciplinary specialist palliative care team (Family Support Team) comprising of Social Work, Counselling, Spiritual Care, Compassionate Neighbours and Welfare Support, you will be supporting the welfare advisor by providing advice, consultation and information to patients, their families and carers regarding welfare benefits and financial support. This advice will be given both pre and post bereavement.

**Hours**:15 hours per week

**Location**:Preston Hall, Aylesford, Kent

**Salary**:£11.44 per hour

**Closing Date**:28th April 2024

**Interview Dates**:Week beginning - 13th May

**About the Role**

**About our Team**

The Family Support Team consist of a Welfare Advisor, Compassionate Communities Lead, Social Worker, Social Work assistant, Counsellors, spiritual care lead, administrator and manager role. The team also have a number of volunteers who help deliver the services. Support is offered digitally, on the phone and face to face. We work with all patients and their families under our care, both pre and post bereavement to meet the families psychological, spiritual, financial and social needs. An important aspect of the overall holistic care we provide at the hospice.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 24 months

**Salary**: £11.44 per hour

Expected hours: 15 per week
