Housing and Communities Manager

Reporting to the Assistant Director of Living & IMPACT, this role will be responsible for the effective management of welfare services across RBLI located predominantly on the 72 acre RBLI Village in Aylesford, Kent.
The Housing & Communities Manager will be responsible for all delivery and implementation of excellent housing management, neighbourhood management and community regeneration services across the RBLI Village in Aylesford and in our wider stock portfolio in Kent.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver support services to meet the needs of our residents
- Manage and maintain high standards of housing management and neighbourhood services
- Work closely with local authorities and other stakeholders to ensure effective community regeneration
- Lead on the development and implementation of new initiatives to improve services and outcomes for our residents
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a customer-focused approach to service delivery
Requirements:
- Relevant qualification or experience in housing management
- Experience of developing and delivering support services
- Excellent planning and organisational skills
- Able to challenge and take action to address rent arrears
- Excellent understanding of the regulatory framework around housing in England
Desirable:
- Management qualification
- Knowledge of charity or private sector
- Working with local authorities Risk Management
- Passionate about supporting veterans of the armed forces
- Understanding the needs of veterans
- Ability to innovate and transform services to become customer focussed and deliver value for money
