An excellent opportunity to gain a qualification whilst providing administrative support to the central team of the Diocese of Canterbury Academies Trust. Duties will include answering telephone calls in a polite and efficient manner, taking messages and dealing with general enquiries, plus much more.

**What will the apprentice be doing?**

Specific Duties:

- To answer telephone calls in a polite and efficient manner, take messages and deal with general enquiries
- Prepare for meetings and provide refreshments when required
- Open and distribute incoming mail
- General photocopying, scanning and typing as required to support both finance and administrative functions of the Trust
- Filing
- Update notice boards
- Other administrative tasks as directed by your line manager to facilitate the smooth running of the office
- Assist with arranging, coordinating and minuting meetings between a range of stakeholders - this would include understanding how to issue agendas with the right information in a timely manner, minuting the meetings and organising meetings between different stakeholders for the senior members of the Aquila central team, school improvement professionals, Headteachers and mentors
- CPD & Conferences - Oversee and coordinate a range of internal and external courses and conferences for the Academy Trust. This includes sourcing venues, marketing courses, taking bookings, issuing reminders and invoices, organising catering, photocopying and sourcing resources, meeting and greeting delegates and ensuring facilities are up to standard
- To produce promotional materials and booklets when required. To liaise with academies in order to promote events
- Passing on accurate messages where necessary. Managing the diaries of the senior members of the Aquila central team ensuring appointments are accurately added to a range of personnel’s outlook calendars. Letter writing, mail merge, printing and photocopying and any other general tasks as required

**Qualifications**
- GCSE or equivalent English (Grade A*to C or 9 to 4, or predicted) essential
- GCSE or equivalent Maths (Grade A*to C or 9 to 4, or predicted) essential

**What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?**
- Level 3 Business Administrator apprenticeship standard
- Preparation for end point assessment
- Work-based and tutor supported online training delivery
- Level 2 Functional Skills in English and maths if required

**Annual wage**

£10,158.72

This is a term time only position. You will be paid for 39 working weeks plus annual leave. You will be paid a pro-rata portion of the advertised annual rate. Your initial hourly rate will be £5.28.

**Working week**

Monday to Thursday 9am to 5pm, Friday 9am to 4.30pm. Term time only position.

Total hours per week: 37 hours a week
