**Planning Enforcement Officer**

Harborough District Council’s vision is to work with communities in a vibrant, safe and prosperous district and to bring the best opportunities to all.

This is a full-time post assisting the Planning Enforcement Team Leader in the delivery of an effective and efficient planning enforcement service.

Duties will include:

- Investigating breaches in planning legislation
- Process Appeals
- Managing and coordinating site visits
- Dealing with telephone enquiries from members of the public and elected Members
- Drafting witness statements
- Carrying out the Council’s duties in line with its Local Enforcement Plan

Furthermore you will have a thorough knowledge of UK planning legislation, enforcement procedures and have excellent communication skills.

The post includes generous annual leave, a mix of office & remote working, as well as essential car user allowance and access to the local government pension scheme.
