**Salary**: £21,197 with progression to £22,662 per annum

The Role

To help deliver the Business School Vision and Strategy by providing administrative support relating to a wide range of engagement, recruitment and marketing activities. This will include liaison with a wide range of stakeholders, and demonstrating excellent customer service.

Key Accountabilities
Provide operational support for the School’s Engagement, Recruitment and Marketing portfolio
Service internal and external meetings, this may include booking rooms, taking notes and subsequently producing a clear written record of the proceedings and actions
Support the maintenance of databases and systems. Including the production and coordination of regular reporting for relevant committees within the School and external reporting to external bodies
Liaise with external stakeholders to support the delivery of projects within the School
Support the delivery of the School’s major alumni projects, including congregations, accreditations and rankings
Responsible for recruiting and liaising with Business School student Ambassadors to build a community spirit and engage with the wider student body and beyond
Deal with general queries when received, taking responsibility for ensuring a suitable response is provided to more complex queries where further advice has been sought
Provide general admin support to include travel booking and arrangements
Provide research support for projects and initiatives within the School
Provide administrative and operational support to ensure the successful delivery of the School’s portfolio of events, as well as collaborating with NU Advancement to develop alumni focussed events (e.g. Alumni Day of Action)
To carry out research and due diligence on external organisations and partners
Contribute to the effective and efficient running of the service through a collaborative team approach, providing assistance to colleagues as appropriate
The post holder will be on the School’s reception rota and will be expected to take on a generic health and safety role within the School
To carry out other duties, as defined by line manager or Head of Professional Services, which support the successful achievement of Business School vision and strategy

The Person (Essential)

Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Ability to manage large amounts of information and pay attention to detail
Experience and understanding of customer relationship management and/or customer service excellence
Ability to build relationships and networks; and demonstrate excellent team working skills
Experience of supporting the delivery of events or activities
Experience of liaising with individuals from a diverse range of backgrounds
Excellent IT skills, particularly MS Office packages

Attributes and Behaviour
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to develop effective working relationships with a range of staff and to work well within and across teams
Ability to prioritise workload, work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines
Maintains flexibility in work plans to allow for changing circumstances

A willingness to travel and work outside of core hours

Qualifications Grades A-C in English Language and Mathematics at GCSE (or vocational qualifications or equivalent) plus demonstrable work experience in a relevant role and/or comparable setting
