**Your new role**:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Qualified Financial Accountant to join a great manufacturing business in Newton Aycliffe. This role will suit someone who has had exposure to producing financial accounts and implementing internal controls or a desireto improve systems and processes.
**Duties and responsibilities**:

- Coordinating monthly closing activities.
- Routine accounts analysis, reviewing and transactional work, including liaising with third parties and internal management.
- Preparation and full reconciliation of accruals, prepayments and provisions.
- Monthly group reporting.
- Controlling the sales company fixed assets, including monthly reconciliation, reporting and depreciation postings.
- Ensuring reporting is compliant with relevant accounting standards.
- Use of financial data to prepare and record general ledger journal entries.
- Leading the review and improvement of internal controls to group standards.
- Preparing the balance sheet account reconciliations.
- Supporting the external audit process, interacting with the audit team and providing relevant documentation.
- Preparing statutory accounts in line with the relevant accounting standards.

**You will be/have**:

- ACA/ACCA or CIMA qualified with 1-3 years relevant experience.
- Knowledge of auditing processes and procedures as well as accounting principles, financial statements, practices and procedures.
- Continuous improvement mindset.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Strong analytical and good communication skills.
- Project finance lead experience.
