**Business Development Manager**

My client is a global leader in Open Banking with a digital account-to-account platform that is revolutionising & redefining the speed, simplicity and security of payments. They experience solid year on year growth and last year alone processed over $20bllionin transactions, serving 10,000 merchants.

This role will be instrumental to the growing e-commerce success in the UK. Working with the broader UK e-commerce team (including partnerships and account management) you will be responsible for acquiring new enterprise merchants and building strong relationshipsfor account management to develop upon.

Open Banking is a relatively new product in the UK market and so you will need to take a consultative approach to merchants who may not fully understand how Open Banking can help create value for their businesses. This means being able to work with technicalproduct managers through to the C-level at merchants.

**Responsibilities for the Business Development Manager**
- Build and execute on a pipeline of leading enterprise E-commerce merchants in the UK
- Ensuring sales strategy and the target is met by working closely with the VP of Sales
- Attending conferences and key events to ensure you become an industry expert in key verticals and continue to offer a 'best in class’ product and service to our growing portfolio of clients
- Work closely with the Credit/Compliance, Operations, Marketing, and Product teams to maximise growth
- Ensuring we keep an updated database of leads and opportunities in CRM and KPI reports
- Running large campaigns using lead generation tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator and partnering with the marketing and lead generation teams
- Preparing proposals, pricing, and completing RFP/RFI’s when needed
- Ability to engage at Executive level with key decision-makers such as the CEO, CFO, and CTO of large companies

**Requirements for the Business Development Manager**
- Your track record of success in Business Development/Sales area within the payments/ecommerce industry
- A solution-driven problem solver with a creative mindset
- Minimum of 3 years working in the payments space
- Mid-market - Corporate experience
- Excellent customer-first mindset and commercial acumen, with the ability to nurture relationships and help them grow
- Must have experience selling into retailers or ecommerece
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- MS Office, Salesforce, and CRM systems experience
- Team player
