**Job description: Therapeutic Practitioner**
**About us**
We have an exciting opportunity for passionate and dedicated Therapeutic Practitioner to join our team working in a Residential Care for young people and adults with Learning Disabilities, Autism (ASD) challenging behaviour and other Mental Health issues.
**Job Summary**
As a Therapeutic Practitioner, you will work to support the young people by:
- Supporting service user on their day to day outdoor and indoor activities
- Documenting service user’s activities, reporting issues and recording incidents
- Supporting service user with emotional difficulties and mental health problems
- Managing challenging behaviour and self-harming behaviour
- To hold boundaries and Safeguarding the wellbeing of the service user
- Following the policies and procedures and management instructions in providing person-centred care.
- Assisting the service user to develop their independence and encouraging them to achieve their potential.
- Assist the service user in self-care such as toileting and bathing.
**What we expect**
Experience in mental health is desirable for this role.
You should be reliable, flexible, motivational and have excellent values. You should be willing to learn as every day can be different. We will help you complete the care certificate modules, other mandatory training in care, Therapeutic training and an NVQ
qualification.

We provide a 24/7 service; thus, the shifts are normally a 12-14 hours per day (starts at 09:00 AM). You may be required do sleep in and weekend cover.
