An exciting opportunity has arisen for highly motivated and experienced individual to join our existing secretarial teams at Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust. We currently have one full timeposition in General Surgery based at Sandwell Hospital.

Actively managing the administrative processes associated with patient pathways and contributing to the effectiveness of clinical teams (including patient experience, patient flow and waiting list management)

Providing secretarial and administrative support to Consultants and clinical teams to support the delivery of high quality co-ordinated and integrated care, including liaison with patients, carers, GP’s and other service users.

Booking appointments for patients on cancer pathway within National Targets and raising capacity issues with the Line Manager. Managing Trust dashboard and booking appointments appropriately.

Robust knowledge of IT systems and working with multiple systems at the same time.

Within our Trust, all full time secretaries provide full secretarial support to 2 consultants and their junior doctors, while working together as a team.
