Technical Field Sales Representative

Our client a well established maufacturing company based in North Leeds is looking to recruit a Technical Field Sale Representative due to growth.

Job purpose

To provide technical sales support in order to manage and grow sales within an existing customer base and potential new customers. To actively look for new business within the scope of the business and Group. To ensure that all customers or potential customers have a satisfactory experience when dealing with the Company.

Roles and Responsibilities:

- To support customers and potential customers with their enquiries;
- To evaluate and assist in converting enquiries into manufacturing routes and actively working with customers to provide a satisfactory experience;
- To provide technical support including product advice, costing, manufacturing methods, drawings, prototypes, sampling and on-site visits;
- To actively support sales initiatives and look for potential new business within the scope of all group companies
- To maintain an orderly workflow according to priorities, achieve deadlines and uphold good internal and external communication
- Update and maintain customer and technical records
- Follow up on customer leads and quotations
- To achieve company quality objectives.

Basic requirements
- Previous experience in a Technical Sales role would be an advantage
- An understanding of basic manufacturing methods and processes such as metal forming, drilling, punching and machining;
- Competent in reading engineering drawings and explain the meaning to others;
- Competent in computer programs including; MS Word and MS Excel
- Must be able to work with others to give direction and achieve Company objectives;
- You must hold a full British drivers licence

Other information
- Hours: 39 hours per week;
- In house training will be given;
- UK wide travelling with some overnight stays will be required;
- The Company exhibit at a number of exhibitions throughout the year, which you may be required to attend and participate.

- Performance related commission.
