We’re looking for our new **Community Engagement Specialist **, and it could be you

The PR & Communications team is expanding, and we have a brand-new role for someone to really put their stamp on. We’re looking for a part-time **Community Engagement Specialist, **who will be responsible for all aspects of our ‘Giving for Good’ charity fund, including coming up with ways we can donate the funds, and work with different charities across the UK on initiatives and projects to raise awareness and funding.

Your day to day will include researching, creating, implementing, communicating and reporting social value-add and philanthropic activities. You will be an active member of the Charity Committee, collaborating with external partners, including the groups chosen charities and internal teams, such as human resources, finance and data teams to identify and quantify social value-add.

**A little more of what you’ll do**:

- Implement the group charity strategy, ensuring alignment with the group’s overall strategy
- Write and publish press releases and PR opportunities on our work with charities
- Support onboarding of new initiatives, communicating changes internally and externally.
- Draft and publish relevant internal and external communications
- Coordinate employee engagement activities and events and implement initiatives
- Support the operating companies in England, Scotland and Wales in centrally coordinated and bespoke volunteering and philanthropic activities
- Engage in educational & community activities to deliver positive social value and create and deliver training opportunities internally
- Identify appropriate frameworks for best practice reporting and monitor, track and report social value performance progress
- Identify suitable awards and opportunities to promote project activities

**What we need from you**:
You’ll have excellent communication skills and the ability to influence and promote a positive culture on how social sustainability practically impacts the business and communities.

We’re looking for previous experience in writing press releases, internal communications and briefings, and a proven track record of delivering broad social value-add and community engagement action.

You’ll have the ability to undertake project planning, project management and work to budgets, be proficient on Microsoft suite and have programme management experience with a structured approach to organising and documenting progress through KPI monitoring and performance reporting.
