**About Our Client**:

The Payroll Assistant will be responsible for:

- Processing payroll for employees in a timely and accurate manner
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant tax and employment laws
- Responding to payroll-related inquiries from staff
- Preparing reports for the Accounting & Finance department
- Assisting with year-end procedures such as P60s and P11Ds
- Updating payroll records as necessary
- Working closely with HR to ensure all payroll data is up-to-date
- Contributing to ongoing process improvement initiatives within the payroll team

**The Successful Applicant**:
A successful Payroll Assistant should have:

- A solid understanding of payroll procedures
- Strong numerical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency in payroll software
- The ability to handle confidential information with discretion
