A new and exciting role has become available at our Homecare service. The main duties include supporting the manager and the Co-ordinator in our ever growing service.

**Main purpose of the job**

To develop, manage and maintain the highest standards of care to the clients, supporting colleagues in meeting the holistic needs of everyone we care for, promoting dignity, respect, independence and choice. Supporting with covering rotas, staff induction and supervision and appraisals.

To supervise the Community Carers and ensure that the standards of care provided to Service Users complies with Care Plans and Company Policies & Procedures.

To produce Care Plans for all Service Users, together with Risk Assessments as required.

**Principal Duties**

To assist the co-ordinator with the allocation of visits by Community Carers to Service Users and ensure that the details of their work rota is communicated to them in accordance with Company Policy & Procedure.

To promote and implement the Company’s Philosophy of Care in all our work with Service Users in their own homes.

To cover the duties of the care Co-ordinator and Senior Carer as required in the event of sickness or holiday.

To undertake ‘on-call’ duties to an agreed rota.

To ensure that the Electronic Call Monitoring system is operated correctly and that computerised and manual records are updated regularly.

To carry out regular supervisions/performance reviews with Community Carers to agreed timescales.

To provide a positive and aspirational role model for the care staff, leading by example in a professional way.

To work with the Manager and Senior team to ensure care delivered is of the highest standard.

**Salary**: £11.72-£12.12 per hour

**Experience**:

- providing care: 1 year (required)
- supervisory: 1 year (preferred)

- NVQ Level 2 Health & Social Care (required)
