Specific tasks include:

- Booking goods into stock.
- Advising the site on incoming loads.
- Planning incoming loads and liaising with suppliers.
- Purchasing over multiple sites and including different grades of material.
- Progressing orders with suppliers that the sales teams require updates on.
- Checking order acknowledgements against the purchase order.
- General admin, filing and office support.
- Occasionally supporting in supplier meetings.
- Any ad hoc duties to contribute to ensuring the department achieves all high standards of service

- Previous experience within a purchasing department
- Proactive attitude & approach with a one team mindset.
- High level of accuracy with good computer skills, namely Excel
- Builds strong relationships quickly & holds excellent communications skills
- Organised & methodical in your approach.
