Little Rays Moira has an amazing opportunity for an afterschool Nursery Assistant to join our team on a permanent basis.
**Job Types**:Full-Time and Part-Time 12-6pm this can be 3, 4 or 5 days per week. Discuss at interview
**Salary**:£8.64 - £11.71 per hour
**Requirements**:
- Previous experience working with school age children is desirable.
- **Nursery assistant required for the Moira nursery. Must have NVQ3 in Child Care and Education or the willingness to complete the qualification whilst employed. *If you are working a minimum of 21 hours per week within a childcare setting, you could access this course through the Apprenticeship NI programme* You will be required to have Essential skills in English, Math's and ICT or equivalent (proof required)**:
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to multitask
- A positive and enthusiastic approach to working with children.
- Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with children.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- A willingness to learn and undertake further training as required. Please note that this position will require a background check and reference checks.

**Key Responsibilities**:
- Assisting the team in delivering the daily care and education of the children.
- Create a safe and nurturing environment for children in your care while supporting the
health and safety of the children at all times.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities and educational programs in line with the
Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
- Building strong relationships with parents and carers.
- Maintaining accurate records and observations of the children's development.
- Adhering to the nursery's policies and procedures, including child protection and
safeguarding.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure the well-being of the children.
- Undertaking any other duties as required by the Nursery Manager.
- Prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
