*Rate of Pay: £10.60 per hour*

*Hours: 24 per week*

*Duties will include (but are not limited to):*
- To initiate and assist local groups or organisations, through community development, to meet their objectives.
- To assist the Community Development Officer to research and identify area needs, implement recommendations and to initiate groups and projects for the benefit of the community.
- To recruit, train and develop volunteers from within the community and coordinate and supervise the activities of volunteers.
- To provide administrative support to centre committees and prepare reports and relevant administration as requested.
- To organise and support special programmes, including appropriate cash handling for projects, festivals, and events, and the management of seasonal and temporary staff, for example, but not exclusive to, summer schemes and special event led programmes.

*Essential Criteria:*
- At least one year’s experience of organising and developing community development programmes of activities.
- At least one year’s experience of supporting and supervising volunteers

*Desirable Criteria:*
- At least two years of relevant experience
- Have successfully completed Stages 1 and 2 of the Youth and Community Course / NIPPA Diploma / NVQ Level 2 in Playwork / NVQ Level 2 in Community Work or equivalent qualifications.

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Holidays

Supplemental pay types:

- Belfast, County Antrim: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- supporting and supervising volunteers: 1 year (required)
- developing community development programmes: 1 year (required)
