- Would you like the chance to join a high achieving communications team at an exciting time?- Following a recent expansion of the remit of Communications, and its transition into a new, standalone function, the newly created Strategic Communications Directorate at Queen’s University Belfast seek to appoint two Communications Officers to join their rapidly expanding team.- As a Communications Officer, you will join an established team and actively contribute to the delivery of the Strategic Communications strategy in support of the University’s strategic objectives. You will be responsible for undertaking a leading role in promoting the University and its vision across a wide range of channels including print, broadcast and online.- Working closely with fellow Communications/Digital Communications Officers, and other relevant colleagues you will create compelling content that will raise the profile of the University locally, nationally, and internationally to help build, maintain, and manage the reputation of the University.- This is a truly exciting opportunity to join the team at the heart of telling our fantastic story to the world - if you have what we need and want to be part of something remarkable, please apply.- At least 3 years’ (within the last 5 years) relevant employment experience as a journalist or public relations/press officer working in a busy press office, newsroom or communications office, writing news stories or press releases, responding to media enquiries within deadlines, developing and implementing integrated communications campaigns, including digital platforms, writing speeches and corporate copy; **OR;**
- Substantial recent relevant employment experience as outlined in point 2 above.
- Significant experience of working with local and national media.
- Experience in using MS Office packages, particularly, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
