An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dietitian to join our team to expand their skills in the area of community dietetics. Good clinical skills and knowledge of a wide variety of clinical conditions seen in the community are required.
You will be part of a friendly team of community dietitians, working alongside the acute and paediatric dietetic teams to ensure delivery of a high quality dietetic service across North Cumbria.
The post includes delivering care to patients of all ages referred by GP Practices, Community Hospitals, Care Homes and other Health Care Professionals. The post includes a caseload of enteral feeding patients with support from an enteral nurse specialist. T his is an exciting opportunity to develop your knowledge and experience of working with patients with a wide variety of conditions.
Professional development is given a high priority and there are ongoing educational opportunities as well as practice supervision. The department trains student dietitians from North West and North East universities which consistently scores 4 stars from students. IT and secretarial support is available.
This post is ideal for either existing Band 6 dietitians looking for a career change or Band 5 dietitians with experience and ready to take the next step We would also consider a newly qualified dietitian who wishes to start their career in the community setting.
Provide a comprehensive clinical and educational community dietetic service within the North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust (NCIC). Contribute to the development of the Nutrition & Dietetic service as a member of the Dietetic team.
To act as a specialist source of advice and expertise, in the management of the nutritional wellbeing of patients of all ages, such as nutritional support, food allergies, gastrointestinal disorders, home enteral, weight management and in-patients in Community Hospitals.
To participate in departmental audits and service development with the support of the Dietetic Leads.
You will be part of a friendly, committed and supportive dietetic department of 18 dietitians across North Cumbria (acute & community & paediatrics) providing a quality service through evidence based practice.

**Enhanced Check**: £38 + administration cost of £3.90 = £41.90. Deducted at £11.90 from 1st month salary and £10 deducted from salary over following 3 months.
