Specialist Dietitian - Fixed-Term 18 months
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dietitian to join our dietetic team and be part of a project to improve patient care within the lipid service by providing dedicated dietetic support. We require a motivated and dynamic dietitian to work with the multidisciplinary team which includes a Pharmacist and Consultant Chemical Pathologist as part of this service. Good clinical and communication skills are required.
You will be part of a friendly, committed and supportive dietetic department of 19 dietitians across North Cumbria (community, acute and paediatric) providing a quality service through evidence based practice.
The post is fixed-term, base to be agreed and you will be part of a well-established dietetic department to ensure delivery of a high quality service across North Cumbria.
Professional development is given a high priority and there are ongoing educational opportunities as well as practice supervision. The department trains student dietitians from a number of universities in the North. IT and secretarial support is available.
Provide a comprehensive clinical and educational dietetic service within the North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust (NCIC). Contribute to the development of the Lipid Service as part of the project.
To act as a specialist source of dietetic advice and expertise, in the management of hyperlipidaemia. Developing and evaluating a multidisciplinary approach to lipid management.
This post is ideal for either a Band 6 dietitian looking for a career change or we would also consider a Band 5 dietitian, for someone ready to take the next step in their career while enjoying the life on offer in North Cumbria.

**Disclosure and Barring Service**:

**Standard Check**: £18 + Administration cost of £3.85 = £21.85. Deducted at £6.85 from 1st month salary and £5 deducted from salary over following 3 months.
**Enhanced Check**: £38 + administration cost of £3.90 = £41.90. Deducted at £11.90 from 1st month salary and £10 deducted from salary over following 3 months.
