**Location: West Brompton**

Technology can be a game-changer in the fight against terrorism. As a Demand Officer, you’ll help get new solutions off the ground and into the hands of Special Operations.

Based at the heart of Counter Terrorism Policing (CTP), you’ll help new technology projects get approved for delivery. The first step is to work with IT users across CTP to identify business problems and the systems that would solve them. You’ll then thencollaborate with a Business Analyst to capture user requirements and create a business case. Finally, you’ll appear before governance boards and present your case to them.

In effect, you’ll be a bridge between the customer and CTPHQ, and a key point of advice. Working with CTPHQ teams such as Finance and external agencies, you’ll see that projects and programmes are commissioned properly and deliver benefits for Special Operations.Knowledge of CTP tech systems and security accreditation processes would therefore be helpful. Whatever your background, you must be an expert on business cases, and able to oversee small projects.

We’re also looking for the communication skills to liaise with a range of contacts, present findings, and work as part of a team when required. Above all, you’ll need the determination to achieve results - and keep the UK public safe from harm

Vetting

This post requires access to the most sensitive intelligence material on a daily basis. Applicants must hold or be prepared to undergo National Security Vetting (NSV) Security Check (enhanced) (SC(e)) level before taking up the post; with a willingness toundergo Developed Vetting (DV) once in post, if required.

Additionally, this material is of particular sensitivity to the UK and its distribution must be restricted to UK nationals. In approved circumstances dual nationals (of which one element is British) may also be granted access. However, in the event thatpotential conflicts of interest cannot be managed the post holder will not be able to see the intelligence material and will not be able to perform their duties. For the purpose of safeguarding national security and in line with Cabinet Office Policy, supportedby Section 82(2) to (4) of the Police Reform Act (2002), applicants who do not hold or acquire Security Check (enhanced) (SC(e)) OR Developed Vetting (DV) clearance and meet the nationality requirements cannot be offered the post.
