**About the Role**:
Our site in Newport employs around 1,500 people and produces a huge range of ready meals for major retailers. It is a fast-paced, complex food manufacturing environment and this is a great opportunity to have a direct impact on business performance.

Reporting to the Site Director, your key responsibilities will include:

- As part of the senior leadership team, developing and implementing strategy to drive performance and achieve site objectives.
- Leading and developing a team of six direct reports, with an overall headcount of around 1200 people, across Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Continuous Improvement.
- Delivering agreed business objectives within budget and ensuring high levels of service are provided to customers at all times.
- Ensuring robust, effective KPIs are in place and that your team is motivated and equipped to achieve all targets.
- Owning the site CI agenda, ensuring all projects and initiatives are embedded and achieved across operations.
- Identifying opportunities for longer term improvements, with a focus on succession planning and staff retention and engagement.

**About You**:

- Prior experience in a senior leadership role in a complex, chilled foods/short shelf-life food production environment.
- Able to operate at a strategic level whilst also actively leading day-to-day operational teams.
- Demonstrable track record of delivering KPIs and business objectives along with sound commercial acumen.
- Excellent leadership skills, able to develop a team of direct reports and engage with and motivate staff at all levels across the business.
- Experience of implementing and driving lean manufacturing techniques.
